School Meals and Milk

School Lunches

School meals are cooked on the premises.  We offer a family service, which means that lunchtimes are a social experience. Older children serve the younger pupils at the table, which promotes social skills and table manners. School lunches and milk are now paid using Parentpay, an e-payment service. Each child has a specific account and parents are allocated a password and login.  The cost of a school meal is £2.55 per day, £12.75 per week.

Please see the school meals leaflet below.

Packed Lunches

Your child may bring a packed lunch, which should be brought to school in a named container. Packed lunches should contain healthy items, for example sandwiches/wrap, fruit (fresh or dried), yoghurt and either a biscuit or bun. We ask that you do not put chocolate, sweets or fizzy drinks into your child's packed lunch. Ideas for a healthy packed lunch can be found below.

Milk

Milk is free to children until the week before they reach five years old, and is available to children in school, at a small cost via the Cool MIlk website and can be purchased at any time. This process was new to school in September 2023.   Children who are entitled to Free School Meals must confirm that milk is required with the school office by the due date.  We also add information to newsletters and twitter.

Milk for school children is subsidised by the Milk Marketing Board.

Fruit and Vegetables Scheme

As part of the Government’s School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme, children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 receive free fruit or vegetables every day for their morning break.
