School Meals and Milk

School Lunches

School meals are cooked on the premises. During lunchtime the supervision of the children is the responsibility of our Educational Teaching Assistant with the specified lunchtime role, supported by our team of ETAs. They in turn, are responsible to the Headteacher. School lunches and milk are now paid using Parentpay an e-payment service. Each child has a specific account and parents are allocated a password and login.  The cost of a school meal is £2.30 per day, £11.50 per week.

Kirklees runs a winter and summer menu, the winter menu runs from Monday November until school breaks up for Easter

Packed Lunches

Your child may bring a packed lunch, which should be brought to school in a named container. Packed lunches should contain healthy items, for example sandwiches/wrap, fruit (fresh or dried), yoghurt and either a biscuit or bun.

Milk is free to children until the term that they reach five years old, and is available to children in School, at a small cost. This process has been updated by Kirklees and the deadlines for ordering are strict.  We publish on Parentpay (the schools online payment system for milk and meals) the due dates in advance as orders are placed at the end of the previous term.  Children who are entitled to Free School Meals must confirm that milk is required following the same timescales as for paid milk.  We also add information to newsletters and twitter.  The cost of milk is £11.65 per term.

Fruit and Vegetables Scheme

As part of the Government’s School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme, children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 receive free fruit or vegetables every day for their morning break.
