Applying for your child to come to High Bank JIN

High Bank is a school in the Local Authority of Kirklees. All of our admissions follow the agreed code of practice set out by the Authority.

Nursery

All 3 and 4 year olds are already entitled to 15 hours of free early education.

Eligibility for the additional 15 hours

The government has set the following eligibility criteria:

  • Both parents must be working - or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family
  • Each parent earns, on average, a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at national minimum wage or national living wage
  • Each parent must have an annual income of less that £100,000

How to Apply

Parents can  apply online via HMRC. HMRC will have a dedicated helpdesk to support parents apply if they are unable to apply online and school may also be able to help you with your application.

Eligible parents will be given a code which will be valid for 3 months, parents will be asked to re-confirm their eligibility towards the end of the 3 month period. HMRC will send reminders to parents.

N.B. The offer of a place in Nursery is not a guarantee of a place in School, and your child must be registered separately for admission to each.

Registration forms for admission to Nursery are available from the school office. Please be aware that we will need to see your child's birth certificate at the time of registration
